I have more than 17 years’ experience working as a Consultant Arboriculturalist in both the private and public sector. After working in the United Kingdom for 5 years as an Arboricultural Advisor, I returned home and founded Treesafe Consultancy Limited. In April 2016 Treesafe Consultancy Limited was renamed The Tree Consultancy Company. I have carried out specialist advisory roles for major infrastructure projects, large developments and complex tree tree risk assessments, and I'm regularly engaged as an expert witness for District Plan Change matters, Environmental Court proceedings and Resource Consent Hearings. I am one of a few people internationally who undertakes non-invasive tree root and wood decay mapping with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). My GPR clientele reaches throughout NZ and Australia, and includes local authorities, CCO's and the Police.
