We are a small mechanical engineering consultancy ready to start growing our team. Therefore we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with: Required skills: • Experience in FEA analysis (simulations), manual stress calculations preferably in Solidworks environment • Experience in leading a team and time management. • Experience with air manipulation and knowledge of thermodynamic principles and mechanics of fluids. • At least 5 years’ experience with shop drawings is a must, preferably more, purely to show you are an effective communicator through your own documentation. • At least 3 years’ experience in designing devices for Food or Pharmaceutical Industry. • Ability to design and develop mechanical solutions, clearly showing you can develop machine design and problem solve without supervision, for successful completion of your own mechanical projects and tasks. • Understanding drawing registers and how to find or where to look for necessary information to start and complete the design process. • Excellent Solidworks and basic AutoCAD fluency. With Solidworks specifically we use Weldments and Sheetmetal modules, by mastering these two you will be confident to achieve most of what is required from the CAD modelling perspective. • Mastering standards, engineering principles and safety regulations: o ISO o ANSI o DIN o BS o GMP • Familiarity with imperial and metric units, and skill to interchange between them at any point. • Confident decision making and ownership/responsibility of your work. • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification. • MS office. • Effective communication with clients and staff. • Flexibility. Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspections and maintenance. These steps will lead to decisions on future design improvements. • Liaising with the Management to ensure an efficient flow of information and prioritization of jobs and compliance with project timelines. • Liaising with Management to ensure quality standards are met. • Cooperation with Project Management staff to plan and execute work required in scope of specific project. • Creation and manipulation of 3D Solidworks models for the purpose of solving mechanical problems, determining materials and preparation of manufacturing documentation. • Preparation of laser cut ‘’profile/DXF’’ documentation for laser cutting. • Commissioning and possible overseas travel for longer periods. • Maintaining archives and utilizing existing libraries of past projects to improve design efficiency.
