As our roastery is situated in a busy café environment barista and hospitality skills are essential. Qualities: - You can think one step ahead - You are motivated on improving our way of working and procedures - You have the ability to adapt to changes in a growing company and react proactively - You value and implement ethical and sustainable methods - You are reliable and consistent - You are a team player, who takes initiative and responsibility in a small team - You have a passion for sustainable and ethical projects and changing the world in a positive way Job tasks and responsibilities Management and Retail: - You will be working closely with our Head of Sales and Roasting - Creating a database of existing and new accounts - Implement ordering systems - Reporting analysis and annual reviews of accounts - Partnering and collaborating locally and internationally - How to use order and mailing systems - Team Management - Budget Management - Roster Management Roastery and specialty coffee: - Working closely with and reporting to Head Roaster - Grinding and packing of roasted coffee in an organized manner - Careful and precise application of bag labels and roast dates - Dispatching orders - Cleaning and maintenance of the roastery equipment and work space - General assistance around the roastery - Regular cupping and quality control - As required, undertake roast training with a view to production roasting - BAU in a Café environment (customer service and coffee making) Requirements for the position - 2-3 years Working experience in sales and customer order management - People skills and high level of customer service - Hospitality and customer service experience - Coffee roasting knowledge and advanced barista skills - Experience working with a socially responsible enterprise - Maturity and ability to lead and direct a team - Availability to work on weekends and public holidays - Highly proficient in spoken and written English Skills and experience Job benefits and perks - Great work environment - Part of a social business - A small team enables you to work independently - Opportunity to advance coffee knowledge Please send your CV and a Cover Letter.
