Cafe Chef We are the cafe based in Waikato University We are looking for a creative and experienced chef, with a flair and taste for great food, to be involved in planning and executing our café menu. The successful applicant will be a talented and passionate individual with innovative and original ideas to provide the best cafe experience We are looking for someone who: Has a minimum of 12 months experience in a cafe kitchen or similar environment. Has a good skill set for baking muffins/scones, cabinet food and short order. Can multi-task, has excellent time management skills and the ability to keep the work area clean and tidy Has strong food safety and work safety knowledge and follows the kitchen cleaning schedule Possesses a keen attitude to grow with the business, a strong work ethic & strong communication skills. Is able to take ownership of stock ordering/rotation with efficiency and minimal wastage. Ability to work independently Has a great work ethic and provides exceptional customer service Is punctual, reliable and can work without supervision Has the ability to work well as a team and under pressure This is a fulltime position.
